Boybreed (born November 21, 1992) is a Nigerian Afro-pop and dancehall duo composed of identical twin brothers Chibuzor Franklyn Amajuoyi and Nnamdi Kennedy Amajuoyi. They are singers, songwriters, producers and graphic designers. Best known for their hit single, Slowly, which also featured Popular Nigerian reggae dancehall singer, Patoranking.

Raised in Surulere, Lagos state, the twins who originally hail from Mbaise local government in Imo state, developed a keen interest in music at a very young age, listening to Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s collection, Backstreet Boys, Sade Adu, Bob Marley, among other artists.

They wrote their first song at age 9. Nnamdi (aka Namdy), the younger of the twin, reportedly began a professional solo career in 2012 while in the university before his brother, Chibuzor (aka Frank), teamed up with him in 2013 to form the duo Boybreed.

They released both “Money Maker” and “Sista Peperempe” in 2013. They also began playing at gigs in their university campus and also at wedding ceremonies. Later that year, they got signed on to the record label, Bovibes Entertainment.

The brothers graduated from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri in 2015 where Chibuzor graduated with a bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Nnamdi graduated with a bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering.

On the 9th of August 2015, Boybreed was nominated and won the Best Upcoming Act Category at the Nigerian Teens Choice Awards (NTCA). Boybreed also received an award at the Imo Fashion and Entertainment Awards (IFEA 2015). Boybreed cites Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Bob Marley, Chris Brown, Akon and Tuface as musical influences for their music.
